Extras (Photo-etched etc): Parts from the GMM photoetch set for IJN
destroyers, torpedoes from the pitroad ordinance set 03. Small torpedo
freighter from the Tamiya Tug set.
Any parts rebuilt: The masts were replaced with fine brass wire. The hold
of the torpedo freighter was opened up and the bridge rebuilt.
Manhours from beginning to end: Around 25 Hours
Modellers’ difficulty rating: The Skywave kit is very well molded and builds
a fine replica straight from the box.
